President Rosa Browne's Message

Dear Freedom Fighters:

As the President of the Middlesex County Branch of the NAACP it is my honor to welcome you to our Branch's website. The Branch is small but has a great attitude; we are located in Middlesex County Connecticut.Our mission is to serve the community by protecting the civil rights of all people.

The National NAACP was established on February 12, 1909 by a diverse group of individuals who were concerned with racial equality and race relations here in America. The organization’s vision is geared towards the improvement of the political, educational, social and economic status of the minority groups with the elimination of racial prejudice keeping the general public aware of the adverse effects of racial discrimination.

Our primary focus is identical to that of the National organization in the protection and enhancement of Civil Rights for all people and the development of tommorrow's leaders.

Because we are now living during problematic times, we must maintain our focus in improving education to achieve financial freedom. We must continue to seek unity in the community and strive to make a difference in saving our childre. We stongly believe ii is better to build an effective child, then it is to repair a damaged adult.

According to Bessie Sanley “Success is Many Things”

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

Let work together and we can learn to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. For more information about any of our branch activities or to get involved, please contact our Branch office via e-mail at Agury574@att.net.

Thank you for the opportunity,

Rosa Browne
